  Leonard Hutchison RCA 1896 - 1980

               Wood block prints from 1931- 1943 - a social realist - Hamilton artist - once curator of the Art Gallery of Hamilton,  friend to  Hamilton's Labour     mayor, Sam Lawrence, active in the social causes of the day, his art frequently depicts and ennobles work and workers, and the milieu of work in Southern Ontario during the Great Depression.
